Cordless drill - pre-drilled pilot hole method

A continuous flow of water is not required for this hole saw when cutting hard tile and stone.

Create a pilot hole in the material using a 6mm diamond tile drill bit following its instructions for use.

Assemble a 6mm TCT (Tungsten Carbide Tipped) masonry pilot bit and diamond hole saw onto an arbor. Before starting the cut, dip the assembled TCT pilot bit and hole saw into water.

Locate the TCT pilot bit into the pilot hole created by the diamond tile drill bit.  At full RPM start the cut.

Gently oscillate the power tool as the hole is being cut continuing to apply light pressure only.  For optimal performance, dip the hole saw into water every 5 seconds and before starting a new cut.
